What the area is like

Apgujeong Rodeo and Cheongdam-dong sit side by side in northern Gangnam, along the south bank of the Han River. Together they are one of Seoul's best-known areas for fashion and design: side streets of boutiques, cafés and small galleries around Apgujeong Rodeo Station, and the flagship stores of international luxury brands along Apgujeong-ro in Cheongdam.

It is a neighborhood people come to walk around rather than to tick off a single sight, which is why it pairs naturally with an early dinner.

Places to build an afternoon around

• Apgujeong Rodeo Street — the lanes around Apgujeong Rodeo Station, dense with independent boutiques, cafés and galleries. Good for unplanned wandering.
• Cheongdam luxury fashion street (Apgujeong-ro) — flagship stores of international luxury houses lined up along the main road.
• Galleria Department Store (Apgujeong) — a long-established luxury department store, useful when you want to shop indoors.
• Dosan Park — a quiet park in the middle of the neighborhood, a good place to pause between shops.

Store hours and individual shops change often, so check them on a map app on the day rather than relying on any list.

A simple evening plan

• Afternoon — walk Apgujeong Rodeo Street and the Cheongdam fashion street, or shop at Galleria.
• Dinner — SEOLYA GALBI Cheongdam is currently open for dinner only, 17:30–22:00, last order 21:00.
• After dinner — the neighborhood stays lively in the evening; Dosan Park or the Rodeo side streets are an easy walk to end the night.

Friday and Saturday dinner peaks are best booked 2–3 weeks ahead, so reserve the dinner first and build the afternoon around it.

Getting there and getting around

• Subway — Apgujeong Rodeo Station on the Suin-Bundang Line. SEOLYA GALBI Cheongdam is 414m from Exit 4, about a six-minute walk.
• Taxi — show the driver the Korean address "서울 강남구 선릉로152길 18". On Naver Map, search "설야갈비 청담".
• Driving — valet parking is available at the restaurant; street parking on Seolleung-ro 152-gil is limited.

Dinner at SEOLYA GALBI Cheongdam

This is our own guide, so here is the short version of what we serve: Hanwoo 1++ grilled at your table by a dedicated server. The signatures are Seolya Marinated Galbi (₩57,000 per 100g) and the 26mm Garlic Tenderloin (₩49,000 per 100g); plan on ₩90,000–₩150,000 per person for dinner. There are three private rooms if you are dining as a group.
